Day One Itinerary:

Rogue River Paddle, BBQ, Old Growth Hiking, Beach Time

We will meet at your place of lodging in our spacious Mercedes Sprinter van to begin our adventure.

Your choice of SUP or Kayak for your paddle adventure on the nations first Wild and Scenic River, the world famous Rogue. There is no big white water on this tour, just fun smaller rapids that are a blast to charge in a wonderful stretch of river.

After our Rogue paddle we will enjoy a great lunch at Cougar Lane Lodge. BBQ is a favorite at this wonderful upriver establishment where we can enjoy lunch on their large deck surrounded by Myrtlewood trees.

After lunch we will head to Francis Shraeder Old Growth Trail. This short hike is in a beautiful stand of large Douglas Fir and Cedar with a neat interpretive brochure that helps us understand the variety of trees growing here.

After our short hike in Old Growth we head to Otter Point for stunning seascapes, trails and secluded beach time. Otter Point sees less traffic than other state parks on the coast and is a very special place to explore and find agates on remote beaches.

We’ll drop you off at your place of lodging in time to recharge your batteries for day 2.

Day Two Itinerary:

Ocean Paddle, Lunch at Brookings Harbor, Sight Seeing

We will meet at your place of lodging in our spacious Mercedes Sprinter van and head south to Brookings.

The Brookings area has great protected coves thanks to Chetco Point. Here we can paddle in the ocean with Harbor Seals, a myriad of sea birds and explore Chetco Point Beach. We paddle out of the port of Brookings Harbor that is full of fishing vessels, sailboats and a Coast Guard Station making for a pretty easy ocean paddling experience.

Choose from one of the many great restaurants within walking distance of our morning paddle location. We recommend Zolas Pizzeria, Sporthaven Bar and Grill, Hungry Clam and Fat Irish.

After lunch we explore one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the world along Samuel Boardman State Scenic Corridor. We will take you to remote coves and beaches while hiking the best part of the Oregon Coast Trail.

We’ll drop you off at your place of lodging before dinner time.
